DEVLOG #1 — Demo 0.0.02 — Update Notes


DEMO v0.0.2 — Devlog 11/14/2025

Build 0.0.2 focuses mainly on bug fixing, enemy balance, overall improvements to UI/UX, VFX and enemy AI.
The goal was to make combat feel clearer, more consistent and more engaging, while also addressing several technical issues reported in the previous version.

A number of issues affecting combat clarity and consistency have been resolved:

  • Fixed the line-of-sight calculation, which previously allowed enemies to shoot through pieces of terrain.
    Obstacle checks are now far more reliable.

  • Corrected the behavior of several tokens that weren’t functioning as intended.

  • Fixed a pathfinding issue that caused enemies to choose awkward or blocked routes.

  • Repaired various environment interactions during combat that weren’t triggering properly.

This build includes several quality of life changes aimed at improving readability and usability:

  • Completely updated the look and feel of most menus, making navigation cleaner and more intuitive.

  • Added a token list to help players keep track of character states at a glance.

  • Introduced a push-action indicator, so it’s now clear when an ability will knock enemies back.

  • Implemented highlights for equippable items, making inventory and looting interactions smoother.

To make each turn feel more satisfying:

  • Reworked several action sequences to improve clarity and visual pacing.

  • Updated a range of VFX to make abilities look more dynamic and impactful.
